About Colourful Kids Art Club

As an art teacher of 15 years and parent of two young children, I know just how much children get out of the opportunity to be creative. I love seeing children explore new materials and techniques, and seeing their little faces glowing with pride when they make something they get to take home to their family. At the moment my sessions are just running in the school holidays as I am still teaching in a school, but the aim is to maybe have regular art clubs in the future, so stay tuned!

My aim is for children to have a load of fun, whilst giving them the opportunity to make, create and play!

At Colourful Kids Art Club, children of all ages will love the freedom to explore the different arts and crafts activities that are laid out on the different tables. Every session will have a different theme but will cover some of the same main skills including drawing and mark making, painting, collage or clay, to name just a few. We look at the work of a different artist each time, and at least one of the tasks will be linked to their style or technique.

Art Club is like a mini art festival where kids can hop from one table to another, discovering their creative side. It's all about having a good time and seeing what amazing things come out of those little imaginations. So, come along and let the artistic adventures begin!

The Workshops are more of a taught class, where I will plan and deliver a really structured lesson and everyone will create a similar piece. The parent and child classes are a lot of fun too - it's very cute seeing the children guiding their parents!

A few things to note

Siblings outside of the age range are also welcome to come along and take part - please book them a ticket. Under 3's are discounted as they will be able to have a go at everything but maybe not to the full. And you are welcome to bring siblings aged under 18 months for free.

Aprons will be provided, but I'd suggest that children don't wear their best clothes... just in case. It's an art class after all!

Unfortunately classes are non refundable, however you are welcome to pass your space to a friend if you can no longer attend.

I will take photos throughout my classes to share on social media, but please let me know if you'd prefer I didn't feature your child - this is never a problem.
